How can we resolve this problem? View 8 Replies Sync ICal Calendars Via ITunes? May 28, 2012Īt the risk of looking stupid - may i repeat a question posted on the Apple Support Forums?Normally I wouldn't double post, but not getting this resolved overnight and before leaving for an appointment in the morning (UK time) would be a serious inconvenience - I may even have to revert to a paper diaryI'm fairly new to iPads, having only bought one 24 hours after the "3" became available in the UK.I run an i7 iMac under OSX.6.8 Build 10K549 and sync via iTunes v10.6.1 (7) and the iPad is running iOS 5.1.1 (9B206)To start, all went well apart from a glitch with my Address Book which failed to update on the iPad, a problem resolved by AppleCare's "second tier" techies who identified a corrupt Address Book Group hader. However, a short while ago, I found that iCal and Calendars were only syncing one way - changes on the iMac were reflected on the iPad but not vice versa.Tonight, I discovered that no syncing was taking place with calendars at all - a new entry on the iPad didn't reach the iMac and a new appointment on the iMac didn't reach the iPad. I am facing an issue like there are duplicate calendars in iCal on my iPad. If I then amend that appointment, either in timing or even moving to to another day, on the iMac the amended appointment appears and yet the old appointment stays there, it is not "deleted".Equally, when I make an appointment on the iPad, it does not get transferred across to the imac when the two devices are sync'd.I am, no doubt, being myopically stupid here, but why do the two not stay in sync, presenting me with the "latest version" of my "combined" calendars?Unless and until I can do that, the ipad version seems pretty well pointless! View 1 Replies Duplicate Calendars In ICal On IPad Jul 31, 2012 I have an iMac running under OSX.6.8 with iCal v4.0.4 (1395.7) and an iPad running under iOS 5.1.1 (9B206) and I want both calendar applications to stay in sync.I sync via iTunes and not iCloud. If I make an appointment in iCal, it appears on the iPad - fine. MacBook Pro (15",13") Mac Mini (w/ SL Server) The details of that discussion don't apply here since I'm not using Google but rather I'm trying to communicate with iCal running on Snow Leopard (Server). I am aware of the thread discussing the Safari trick to sync multiple calendars with Google. If I create the event on the iPad, sync to my laptop, move the event to one of the server-managed calendars, and sync again, the event properly shows up on the iPad in the appropriate calendar. However, when I create new events I can only place them in the Local calendar contrary to what the iPad User Guide says on page 65, I do not have any option to select a different one. Once my iPad was set up, I was happy to see events from all calendars as I expected. it does not keep its events on the server). There is also a 'Local' calendar managed by the iCal client on my laptop (i.e. My iPad is now synchronized and I can see all of the calendars and their various events, as expected. I have setup iCal on the SL Server in my local network, and my laptops are able to access multiple calendars using that service.
